Chadar Frozen River Trek consists of the following activities:

Ladakh is home to several natural treasures, but the Chadar Trek is the most valuable gift bestowed upon this wonderful land. The trek is all about perseverance and survival – learning to survive in harsh terrains at sub-zero temperatures, interacting with locals and learning about their way of life, especially in one of the world’s least habitable regions, while trekking across a dramatic gorge with frozen waterfalls on the frozen trail of Zanskar spanned out like a “Chadar” that acts as a mirror for the sky!
The primordial excitement of sleeping in caves, meditating over blazing bonfires in subzero conditions, and surviving it all – this is the “Do before you die” experience!

How to Get to Leh:

There are several ways to get to Leh.
Air travel to Leh is the most convenient option. Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport (IXL) in Leh is the closest airport. Many international airports in India, including Delhi, are connected to this airport. Flights arrive from Srinagar, Jammu, Chandigarh, and other popular Indian destinations.

Inclusions in the Chadar Trek Package

4 nights in Leh, including 2 nights in a room and 2 nights camping in a Leh guest house on a double/triple sharing basis.
Camping and vegetarian meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) while on the journey. Breakfast on the fourth day until a celebration dinner on the eighth day in Leh.
We believe that roughing it doesn’t have to mean sleeping in stinky sleeping bags, sacrificing safety by utilizing low-quality equipment, or eating bland food. While camping, we prioritize
your safety, basic comforts, and the environment.
First-aid medical equipment, as well as an oxygen meter, because anyone can be injured while on an excursion (our guides are certified in handling first aid situations)
Trekkers will be assisted by qualified and experienced trek leaders, guides, and support staff.
Transportation from Leh to the Road Ahead (Day 4) and back (on Day 8).
Porters for transporting common items (such as rations, tents, utensils, and groceries).
The ability to store extra bags in Leh before embarking on the Chadar Frozen River Trek.
Supporting Staff (several guides/assistants) hand-picked for the group. This will assure a high level of safety, precise information, and personalized attention, all of which are essential for this expedition. We will entrust you to competent and experienced trek leaders, guides, and support staff with many years of experience.
For the first five trekkers in the group, an additional experience called “Flavour of Ladakh” is available on a first-come, first-served basis. The option is available from Day 1 to Day 4 in the morning.
Due to the high altitude of the Chadar winter trip, a large oxygen cylinder (15 ltr) will be carried during the trek in case of an emergency.
With this in mind, the journey provides the following equipment:
• Bags for sleeping ( Multi-layered Sleeping bags capable of upto -25 Degree )
• Good-quality sleeping tents to keep the cold at bay.
• Thick Camping Mattresses provide as a barrier between your body and the cold ground.
• Toilet Tents pitched at the campsite; kitchen tents with proper dining arrangements so you can eat in peace; kitchen tents with proper dining arrangements so you can eat in peace.

Things to Do on the Chadar Frozen River Trek

It’s usually a good idea to budget for an extra day in case of unexpected circumstances such as bad weather, bridge failures, aircraft delays, or casualties.
Before embarking on this walk, one should notify one’s relatives so that they can assist in the event of an emergency.
Because there are no pharmacies on the Chadar river trip, please bring all necessary prescriptions as well as a first-aid kit in case of bruises or cuts.
To ensure a safe and enjoyable walk, follow the instructions given by the trek leader or teacher.

The Chadar Frozen River Don’ts

Because you’ll be trekking in an environmentally friendly area, make sure you don’t litter and carry your trash back.
Loose, frilly apparel may restrict your movement. It is preferable to avoid wearing such apparel.
Do not rely on sports or casual shoes for traction on the slippery surface; targeting monks or other locals on the road is not recommended because they may take offense.

Rates may change due to changes in services or hotels. If the package is changed due to an increase in the number of guests, the client is responsible for the difference in cost.
Hotel availability is subject to change. In the event that they are not available, the travelers will be accommodated in a similar facility.
Antelope tour maintains the right to change the schedule in the event of a disruption (e.g., weather, political conditions, or other factors), without affecting the total number of days or compromising any service.
Stupas, monasteries, sightseeing, state and entry fees, monument entries, camera fees, and other costs are not included in the program.
The package does not include any personal expenses or things of a personal nature. Any meals or transfers not specified in the itinerary are considered exclusions from the package.
No alcoholic, aerated, or mineral water drinks are included in the package price.
The state government’s guidelines must be followed. Distancing from others must be maintained. Hand sanitization is recommended on a regular basis, as is the wearing of a mask.
Each individual guest must provide identification at the time of booking as well as upon arrival. A legitimate address evidence will not be considered if you have a PAN card.
Any breakage or damage to resort property will be invoiced at cost.
Based on the option chosen, stay in a room in the base category.
It is recommended that you bring adequate warm clothing and appropriate footwear for the tour.
Please keep in mind that the price of the package may change depending on flight tickets, availability, and travel dates. It’s best to talk to a travel agency about it.
The cost of the bundle is subject to GST.
Avoid using plastic bags to preserve the destination’s ecological balance. Travelers who litter may face fines.
Swimming pool usage is tightly governed by government regulations at all lodgings.
Bring dry snacks/food from home, such as granola bars. Carry two water bottles, one standard and the other insulated, so you can refill them.
The package does not include any international or domestic airfare, visa fees, airport taxes, or insurance coverage.
For Standard, Deluxe, and Super Deluxe properties, the displayed prices are for a minimum of 2 PAX.
Extra adventurous activities and ropeways/cable cars are not included in the tour and must be paid for separately.
If the tour or a specific activity is not performed for any reason, natural or personal, no refund will be issued.
In hilly areas, the air conditioning does not work.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations made 30 days or less before the trip’s start date will be assessed a cancellation fee of 25% of the total tour cost.
Cancellations made 15-30 days prior to the trip’s start date will be charged 50% of the total tour cost as cancellation fees.
Cancellations made within 0-15 days of the trip’s start date will be charged 100% of the total tour cost as cancellation fees.
Certain tours or activities may be canceled due to unforeseeable weather circumstances or government restrictions; in such cases, the operator will do their utmost to provide an alternative as soon as possible. However, there would be no financial refund for the same.
Regardless of the date of booking, cancellations are subject to the cancellation restrictions listed on the website.

Refund Policy

Policy on Refunds
Within 15 business days, the applicable refund amount will be processed.
As per the Booking Confirmation Policy, all eligible reimbursements will be made in the Antelope tour wallet of the traveler.
Within 24 hours following a successful booking, the customer receives an email confirmation voucher.
If the customer’s preferred slots are unavailable, an alternate schedule will be created and a new confirmation voucher will be emailed to the customer.
Alternatively, the consumer may cancel their reservation prior to confirmation and receive a full refund.
