Detailed Itinerary
Welcome to Chennai, a city steeped in history since its establishment by the East India Company in 1639. Upon arrival, our representative will greet and escort you to your hotel for some relaxation. In the afternoon, embark on a half-day exploration of Chennai's highlights. Your tour includes visits to the Government Museum, Fort St. George, and Fort Museum. Continue to St. Mary's Church and Santhome Cathedral, then witness the architectural marvel of Kapaleeswara Temple. Conclude with a scenic drive past Marina Beach before returning to your hotel for the night.
After breakfast, set out for Tirupati (173 km, approximately 4.5 hours), a revered temple town. Your destination is the ancient temple of Lord Venkateswara, also known as Lord Balaji, perched atop the Thirumalai hills at 860 meters. This temple, believed to be one of India's oldest, is renowned for its spiritual significance and immense wealth. According to legend, Lord Venkateswara borrowed from the divine treasurer Kubera for his wedding, and pilgrims' generous donations are seen as repayment of this celestial debt. Overnight in Tirupati.
Begin your day with breakfast at your Tirupati hotel before checking out. Your final stop is Tiruchanoor, also known as Alamelumangapuram, home to the celebrated temple of Sri Padmavathi Devi, Lord Sri Venkateswara's consort. Local belief holds that a pilgrimage to Thirumalai is truly complete only after paying respects at the Padmavathi Devi Temple. Following this visit, you'll be transferred to Chennai Airport for your onward journey, marking the end of your cultural and spiritual exploration of Tamil Nadu.
